ARTIST STATEMENT

My practice is the synthesis of research, writing, and physical actions mediated through print, video, and performance which examines the history of and an existing complex relationship with mechanization, technology, and culture. Materials and process of production are paramount to my methodology. The elements converse with one another in a cyclical discourse, excavating chance poetic undertones which intersect and illuminate various aspects of the human experience.

My current work utilizes print, still and moving image, text, and sound to explore the complex philosophical and physiological experiences of mental illness through and in the body sensorium.
